JUAN DOLIO   

Juan Dolio is situated on the South Coast of the Dominican Republic, only 20 minutes to the east of the country's main airport Las Americas. It is only 45 minutes from the Capital - Santo Domingo, which is rich in history, with interesting landmarks and museums and full of cultural activities. It also has excellent shopping.

Previously a major tourist resort, with several all inclusive hotels, Juan Dolio has now become a high class residential area as a weekend retreat for Dominicans from the Capital and in addition many of the apartments are owned by people from all over the world who use them for holidays.

The beaches are second to none in the Dominican Republic, and the calm Caribbean sea is perfect for swimming and snorkeling.

The area is home to several world renowned golf courses. The closest is Metro Country Club which is a mere 5 minutes away. Then there is Guavaberry which is 15 minutes drive away, A little further you can play at the famous Casa de Campo course and a new course is planned in Costa Blanca which will again only be 10 minutes drive away, truly a golfer's paradise!!

There are several other activities right on your doorstep including scuba diving, horseback riding, and jeep safaris. Excursions can also be easily arranged to the paradise islands of Catalina and Saona.

Juan Dolio is renowned for its fine dining and there are several excellent restaurants within easy walking distance.
